The FTC takes aim at affiliates (us) – and this is serious…

Maybe you’ve heard the news, and maybe you haven’t.
The long and short of it is that you need to make sure that you’re not at risk of being “carpet-bombed” by the upcoming affiliate-squashing campaign that the FTC is rolling out with its new ultra-unclear guidelines.
And this directly affects ALL affiliates.
And the cost of violation (including inadvertent, well-meaning
violations) rings in at a crippling $11,000 PER INCIDENT.
So I’d say this is just slightly important and worthy of a 2-minute break from whatever it is you’re presently doing…

Now, this isn’t some “fear angle” that I’m trying to propagate or otherwise go tailcoat-riding with.
The sky is NOT falling, and by simply knowing what the rules are and what NOT to do – you can avoid any potential consequences.
This affects me, you and basically everyone else in the industry.
So the more people know about it, the better.
I don’t want the FTC making “examples” out of me or any of my clients, subscribers and in many cases – my friends.
Take care, Steve
