Salehoo – A Personal Review of One of the Wholesale Resources on the Web

Happy Business Call

I decided to write about my experience with Salehoo for those interested in learning more about what the site does and what you might expect if you join.

For those of you who don’t know, Salehoo offers information about companies that sell products wholesale. Some of these companies ship the products to you, and some will ship individual products to your customers, known as drop shippers.

Ok, first of all, to get into the site and peek around, you can enter some basic info and see some of what is offered for free. This mainly gives you a peak into what they offer, but you can’t really get enough info to begin contacting businesses and ordering products. This makes sense because Salehoo is a fee based membership site, so they don’t want to give too much away for free. Upon perusing the directory categories and some of the features, I decided to pay the $67 to sign up and get started.

First of all, there is a ton of content on this site. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted to do once I got there, but I got caught up in some of the tutorials, testimonials, and company reviews. About an hour later, I knew more and felt a little more comfortable with Salehoo and I was ready to do some research.

By research, I mean product research. Salehoo has a feature that will allow you to enter products into a search field and get results about the potential success of a product.

I am not sure how real time or accurate the info is, but it gives statistics on how the product is selling on eBay, how many competitors are selling the product and more. The area of products I was interested in was in the health and fitness category and after a few trial and error searches, I finally found some promising info about a product I was thinking of selling. The results of the product research told me there was a decent amount of competition for the product, but that it was still selling well on eBay. I figured if I can find the product at a good discount through one of the companies listed in the Salehoo directory, I might have a good chance of making a few bucks.

I clicked on the directory, and then did a search for companies that sell health and fitness related products. A few of the companies I clicked on had websites that wouldn’t open, but I did find one that worked. They listed all types of products, but I couldn’t readily find the product I was looking for. Some of the companies’ websites are a little less organized than the Salehoo site I must say.

I finally found the product I was looking for on two sites, and they were advertising a price that seemed to be low enough to allow me to make some money. As of this writing, I have put in product pricing and shipping inquiries and am still waiting to hear back.

There are several other aspects of the Salehoo site I have not had time to check out, including the forum section, where you can interact with other members. This might be a good area for me to check on the company I choose to see if any other members have had dealings with them. Salehoo is pretty easy to navigate and definitely includes an extensive list of companies. I hope that the one I choose delivers the goods!
