My Bloglog Will be Dumped by Yahoo – Janurary 2010

It’s no longer a matter of  if or when Yahoo will remove the famed social networking site My BlogLog, It has been confirmed that Yahoo has no plans of even trying to sell My BlogLog but has opted to discontinue the service sometime in January 2010.

I think this sucks that Yahoo isn’t letting the MyBlog Log users know what changes are about to take place before it’s too late.

It’s almost like building up a Twitter account and then having it snatched from under your nose with no real action of recourse. But in this case, Yahoo is very aware of the decision they have made and have decided not to let the MyBlog Log community know of what is about to take place.

Many users will just get a huge let down once they find out that their account is no-longer active or even exist.

My opinion is that if you’re a MyBlog Log user and wish to keep some of your contacts, then maybe you should start posting your Facebook URL or use whatever social networking site of your choice and let your followers and contacts know of the impending doom and ask them to follow you on another social networking site.

I chose Facebook and being a fairly new user I am finding Facebook to be a great place to connect. If you wish to follow me on Facebook and I hope you do just click on my badge in the menu to your right.

Good luck, and I really think it’s sad to loose such a great network of friends and contacts.

I am somewhat peeved that Yahoo is not letting the MyBlog Log users know and if so then I am not aware of it!
